Warped Tour #TBT

Hi everyone! I wanted to do another concert throwback from summer 2017. I’m going to recap how I went to the Vans Warped Tour, and saw Sammy Adams with friends!

July 12th, 2017 was when my friends and I went to Mansfield, Massachusetts, at the Xfinity Center, for our first Warped Tour experience. It was around 90 degrees when we got there, and the sun coming in and out of the clouds. The forecast was rain, but we prayed it wouldn’t. Once we got through the gates, we looked around the different stage settings to kill time before Sammy went on. When it got closer to Sammy’s performance time, we went to the main stage and tried to find a good spot on the “Left side,” where Sammy was going to perform. It of course started to rain, but luckily we were all under the coverage of the stage.

Sammy was up and ready to come perform at his first ever Vans Warped Tour, and we were so excited for him. It was fun watching him give his all in a “hometown” show being from Boston, and just seeing new and old faces. He sang some good, new, and old songs while jumping all around on the stage. Singing to some fans and taking their phones recording the audience. He finished his set with All Night Longer, and told everyone to meet him at his merch table, so of course, we booked it out to see him. We got in the line for his “meet and greet” and it was pretty long. It started down pouring while we were all waiting in line, and we were soaked by the time it was our turn to say hi and such.

We took pictures, and some candids of seeing Sammy, and it felt good to just talk to him like a friend we haven’t seen in awhile. He asked us how we were, and how our summer was going. We told him we only came to this tour to see him, and he called us crazy for always seeing him everywhere we can. I can honestly say, I’ll always try my best to see him wherever because he deserves it. We finished with our meet and greet from being rushed out. We all said goodbye and I handed him this t-shirt I got him, and he was in awe of it. He hugged and thanked me for it as I was walking out of the tent.

Warped tour was definitely one for the books, and I’m sad to say Vans Warped Tour is done touring because it was such a fun time. I can’t wait for the next two concerts I have lined up in February, so stay tuned for those posts!
